Why Angela Talarzyk is the A+ choice for TVUSD School Board
Angela Talarzyk is a TVUSD parent with a career spanning 16 years at the intersection of social work and education. As an educator, social worker, and mental health expert, she brings a wealth of experience in supporting students, families, and educators. Her background and experience at the micro and macro levels have provided her with the necessary skills to foster collaboration, partnerships, and trust among various stakeholders such as educators, administrators, parents, and students.
Raised in extreme poverty alongside her seven siblings, Angela witnessed firsthand how the system can fail to protect the most vulnerable members of society. She understands the impact of socioeconomic factors and the pivotal role education plays in breaking free from such circumstances.
As a first-generation college student, Angela earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work followed by her Master’s. Her career has been dedicated to supporting students of all grade levels, both onsite and through program development at the district level. Through conferences, workshops, and advocacy, she has been a tireless champion for students' well-being.
In her role as a school social worker, Angela confronts sensitive and heartbreaking situations daily, recognizing the evolving threats our children face. She is committed to being a problem-solver and ensuring our schools are adequately equipped when addressing these modern challenges.
Angela resides in Temecula with her husband, Andrew, her two children who attend TVUSD Elementary and Middle Schools, and her two beloved dogs, Rocket and Louise.
My Values
-
Transparency
I believe that everything should be done in the open when it comes to government. Like many of you, I find it frustrating when our elected officials have special interests or other groups that push agendas in backroom deals.
If elected to the TVUSD School Board, I am committed to providing complete transparency into my decisions.
-
Trust
One of the most important things in a classroom, in a workplace, and especially in your government, is trust. Trust that, even if we don’t always agree on the method, we are all working towards the same goal.
If elected to the TVUSD School Board, I am committed to earning and maintaining your trust.
-
Honesty
Honesty is the foundation of any successful relationship. Being completely authentic and true to our character and intentions is non-negotiable. We must foster honesty through open communication with all stakeholders.
If elected to the TVUSD School Board, I am committed to be 100% honest about my work and actions
